Homesickness

It’s been 3 years I don’t back to my hometown and now (actually every single day start from 3 years ago) I started feeling homesick. Yups I’ve got homesickness!!
I live far from my family. Now I live in Jakarta because of my study while my Family stay in Serui, Papua. Well people will think, how dramatic I am, because Papua is still in Indonesia tho so it’s not difficult to just going back and visit your hometown once or twice a year.

So let me explain how far my butt now from my hometown. The distance between Jayapura and Jakarta is 3777 kilometers (2347 miles).  By Airplane (3777 km) by car seems impossible except the car can through ocean but the distance if going by car is 5364.

Yay arrive at Jayapura. So let take a rest for a day before continue the journey going to my wonderful hometown. I don’t know exactly the distance between Jayapura and Serui.  I was googling it but not found the Km or Miles lol. But based on what I went through, the trip will take 18 hours by ship but only need 15 minutes by airplane (faster and definitely expensive). I prefer ship because I’m on budget (whole of my life) actually because I have no enough budget lol (poor me) this also the reason why I don’t going back home. So after explaining how far the distance, hope readers not thinking me as a drama queen even though I was (on facing my semester)

This month my mom will come to visit me. I’m so excited but  still missing my hometown. I want going there. I can’t forget every smell of my hometown... the food, people, habit, attitude, culture, places and everything is different. I have good adaptation here and blend with native society here, but it taste different. I miss my home, my family, my old friend, etc. it will be better if having family gathering at our hometown
